Default 15w-50 Mobil 1

I use 15w-50 mobil 1 its good stuff takes the heat better than lighter viscosities also if you have a lot of miles on your engine it will raise your oil pressure a little

Isn't there like a break in thing where you use half synthetic and half regualr oil so its not just one big change on the engine. Kinda like when your feeding a dog the same food for 2 years and you change it on em he has diarea. I dunno, i thought i remember something to use something like that the first oil change and then the next go full synthetic.

thats a good observation although im sure your car wont get diaharea. i would do two oil changes of synthetic blend then go to full synthetic. i dont know if this will have any affect or help in any way but. also 15W-50 is a grate weight but only if you intented to run the crap out of your car or your pushing 300 HP anyways if you need more help feel free to pm me ill try to help as much as possible even though i might not have all the answers

Again, I disagree David_K. HP has nothing to do with it. The weight is ideal for warm weather and even more ideal for engines that rev high - four cylinders work exceptionally well with this weight in warm weather. The oil may (and I repeat, may) need a longer warm up time before the engine can be pushed, but it will perform well Spring through early Autumn in most areas - it will perform well in the entire Sunbelt Region throughout the four seasons, too.

The synthetic blends will have no transitional effect on the engine. Just switch to synthetic, but change the oil and filter on the second change at an earlier interval. That is to say: Switch to synthetic oil and change the oil filter, drive for 1500 to 2000 miles, change oil and filter again, then drive as recommended before next oil change.

OK... can you clean up this statement - please use punctuation and complete sentences - so that I can understand what you're saying?

I run Castrol GTX 20w-50 in my Boss 429 mustang, but then again that has a 500 cu in engine and absolutely drinks oil. I have had a good experience with it, but I don't know if you would need anything that aggressive.
