Default motor swap

i'm pretty new to the audi world but i was wondering what options do we have when it comes to swappin out the 1.8t (a4 b6) for another engine is there anyway a b5 s4 motor or a 4.2 a6 motor would work even though they are on different chassis... i kno the b6 s4 is a good swap if u have the money but i dont so im just wonderin what options i have other than a turbo upgrade cuz this freakin 170hp is killin me!! i mean shoot at this point i'd even be willin to drop a crate engine in lol actually not to hurt anyones feelings but i toyed with the thought of a 4.6 cobra engine because they are a breeze to mod and sinch to get monster results from and i figured since the s4 has a 4.2 bi-turbo i might be able to cram one in but unfortunately its alil too big for the engine bay but just let me kno what yall think thanks

you can swap a 2.7t into the a4 but its too much money/time/work to do that.. unless you $hit out money for a living.

this topic has been covered many times. use the search.

if you are talking engine swap you are atleast looking to spend some money. just keep the 1.8T engine and go Big Turbo, with some of the turbo systems out there you can get upwards of 330AWHP. the 1.8t is a great engine, just upgrade the turbo and you will love the results.

It's cheaper and easier to make a 1.8t into 2.0L and throw a big *** turbo on. Good for an easy 400awhp.

saw some pics of someone that SQUEEZED a 4.2L S4 motor in a B5 S4.. it was the dumbest thing i saw i a while..

do what baconbait said.. 2.0L with a BT and you'll be fine.. shoot actually, if you throw a 71r elim kit on there you can make more power and be lighter than you would with a huge V8 in there
