Multitronic Problems
Hi Lads,
This is my first post so go easy on me
I have a question that I hope you guys can help me with!
Recently I have begun notice a judder or shake from the car (2004 A4) as I accelerate from a standstill. It's difficult to describe but as i put the foot down and the car goes up through the "gears" the car judders. I have also noticed that at certain speeds eg 50mph the rpms fluctuate by about 250-500 rpm resulting a noticeable "pull".
There's about 55K miles on the clock.
I hope I've described the problem clearly enough.
Can anyone shed some light on what the problem might be (please don't' say the box is knackered)
Thanks.

Wow, a first timer with a legitimate question, give this guy a cookie! Thank you for not asking a dumb question, however I'm not sure I can help very much. Is the vehicle throwing a check engine light, and have you had a transmission service performed on it yet? And as far as a shudder it sounds like it could possibly be something drivetrain related i.e. axle, joints, etc. What engine does it have in it? a little more detail would make the question easier to answer for you, and Welcome to AudiForums.com!
thanks for the welcome ProOnThaSnow
i havent had a specific transmission service performed what does this involve?
the car's a 1.9TDI
i have heard thet faulty wheel speed sensors can cause problems which can cause "juddering" due to the fact the stability program kicks in because it thinks the wheel(s) is going to slip but that wouldn't explain the the irratic rpms?

The fluid in your trans is supposed to be changed every 40k miles. There is also a tech bullitin for your concern. Some value blocks need to be read out and compared to audi specs. Sometimes its a input shaft. Sometimes a filter. Sometimes a trans.
