$25 or $0 both seem reasonable to me.

I charge cutsomers $40 if they bring in there own key it is a expensive machine and its not going to pay for itself when people are buying these sh!tty ebay keys some are even a different hardder material and I will not cut those at all

Oh, we've got an Audi dealer in the house!

Everyone keey a super close eye on your wallet!

Clconversion, if you're an Audi dealer who drives an Audi, I'm assuming you're financially stable. But you fail to see that some of us are working one, two, some even three jobs to support the ride of their life (our Audis), school, apartments, girlfriends, etc- if we can save loads of money by buying an OEM Audi key on eBay for 1/2 of what you charge, why wouldn't we? Don't call them 'sh!tty ebay keys', because I seriously doubt anyone on AF would buy anything but an OEM or better (fancier) key from eBay.

xbrian87 I am not a dealer principal I run the Audi parts department and yes I do own a Audi

I am not saying you have to buy the OEM key but I am saying I will not cut the key you get of ebay for however much for free when the machine to cut the key costs a lot of money

and yes some of the ebay keys are garbage I can not think of the material right now they are made of but they are a harder material nad I do not want this to mess up my machine so i will not cut it

at the vw dealership i work at, most of the time the parts guys cut them for free. It is a expensive machine clconversion but when some multimillionar owner owns the machine and 4 other dealerships, who cares?

who cares wow if you don't like your job and don't like showing profit on a big item you are going to have some explaining to do to the man upstairs he did not become a multimillionar by giving everything away for free

I honestly don't see it to much at all anyways most people just buy the OEM key and are ok with it if you are driving a 40k + car you are not going to care to much about saving a couple of dollars anyways either that or a lot of people like myself just don't trust ebay and here about all the scams always going around
