Default Mustang GT's are slow...

...or the guy couldn't drive, but i'll stick with slow. On my home with my buddy from seeing Wedding Crashers, which was very funny i thought, and i get to this stretch where the two lanes become one and i was just casually driving going to pass this mid 90's stang, the newer body style for the mid 90's, and he swirves in front of me all crazy so i wouldn't pass him. He had some wide rear tires and an exhaust from what i could see and hear and for the whole single lane stretch he decides to be cute and do 40MPH while the Speed Limit is 45. Of course when your buddy's in the driver's seat, he's always gonna egg you on. So there was a small two lane stretch coming up, and i kept it in the sweet spot the whole time (3K RPM), when it came up, we heard the stang downshift knowing i was going to try to pass before it hit one lane again, and he punches it, I swirve over and punch, passed his screaming mess (and there is no mistaking the Ford V8 growl) by a car lenght and very slowly he starts to creep until i shift and the we're even, now about a half a car length apart, and by then it was to late, it was back to one lane. I hope he still thought his car was still pretty kick a$$ after that. Great way to end the night.

yeah it might be slow, my friends mom has a 5.0 93' and thats pretty fast, but he himself just got the 2005 GT 5spd and thats pretty damn fast, i drove it and it def has *****, and they really fixed the whole turning and body roll on them, when you corner on them now its very smooth and the car makes you turn the car which i like. it makes you really drive the car. and the shifting on them are pretty nice, kinda stiff but not that bad and there short shifts too.

Oh no doubt, i know that they're fast, I was expecting to get spanked by the looks of it, but that wasn't the case tonight. the new ones are hot, I wouldn't even try against one of the new ones.

What year was the stang?

If it was a 95-00 it is a v6
01-present is a v8

Nah, it was a v8, saw the 4.6L GT badge on the side. I used to live next to a guy that had one that was real clean, and like i said, there is no mistaking the ford v8 growl, i have quickly walked many v6's, almost a shallow victory with those.

Mid 90' GTs SUCKED!!! When they first swapped over to the 4.6, they only had 220hp and were very slow (considering). It was probably a 94' or 95' and you beat him fair and square.

the new ones are huge cars, in the pictures they dont look as big but once my friend got his i finally got to see how big they are. they are very thick looking cars and actually pretty long. but they are so badass. i think the worst mustangs were the 80's even though some were 5.0 they were still ugly as hell.
