As far as I know the 710N holds boost just fine with a chipped car. Even if it had half the life of a more expensive DV you'd still be saving money.

What is the K04? How much does that cost and should I consider that instead? What is the difference in performance with the K04 then with the setup I described above in terms of hp/torque/etc? Can I spend the 2K I have for these upgrades more wisely?

I'd do the upgrades you have listed... it'll transform the hell out of your car, and wont destroy your transmission.

umm... check www.ecstuning.com I think they have a k04 kit, if you want to read up about it... but yes, be warned, the tiptronics do not cope well with excessive power. (I think keeping them under 250 hp is wise)

a k04 is the turbo that comes in the TT...you can swap out your K03 for a k04..but i;d stick with your setup at the moment. Sounds good.

In my search fro exhaust for the tip I was only able to find one place that sells a downpipe (your AWE setup will not have one)...although exhaust in general is an upgrade the downpipe is a very nice chunk of it...tantrum werks was the only place that had em and it needs to be welded in with your new exhaust...it runs $250 and I think is a 2.5" pipe....
