Dude.. I got myself an a4 1.8t last summer n got into an accident by one cracker guy who ran away from the accident... Anyway, after the accident, my car rpm tends go on 2.5-3.5k when i was goin 20-70mph... normal? or supposed to be like 1.5-2k rpm?
Thanks
Also, my car's in autobody shop now.. cant wait to get it back for real..

I think it's the way you type thats confusing. For example, "cos" "cracker guy" and "was on a crack which he escaped from the scene" is all fucked up. I'm assuming you mean, some guy on crack hit you and left the scene. And I believe they're called crack heads, not cracker guys. Anyway, how do you know he was on crack? Did they catch him, or are you assuming because he drove like a shitbag.
Anyway, be more specific. " my car rpm tends go on 2.5-3.5k when i was goin 20-70mph..." doesn't really say much.. unless I'm completely missing something. Try telling us what gear you're in, how fast your going and at what rpm.

Yeah, i just read my msg again... My bad.
First of all, I was driving in washington, dc and that guy who hits my rear and he was like.. dude, call me cos i got my driver license suspended n please dont call police etc.. but i just did because of my insurance. So, that guy called his friends and cleaned up his stolen jaguar with bunch of small bags n some cashes n just escaped into his friend's car... 5 minutes later, police arrived n found out that car was stolen, not registered under that guy, or that license tags r not matched to that car too. Lucky that i got that driver's full name n found some bad histories on him...
Anyway, about my car, once i m going to accelerate it up from 5mph to 20mph, can see rpm go up to 5-6k rpm when i accelerate it too fast n engine goes so loud.. normal? No idea, really. Plus, i ve rode my friends n others' cars n i just noticed that their cars tend go up to normally 1000-2000k rpm but for me, average from 2.5k-4.5k... normal?
My car is automatic.. i always wanna to get manual but MVA wont let me bec i only got one hand.. eh

in an automatic car, if you are accelerating "too fast" (like if you are wide open throttle) yea the rpms will be up in the 5-6k range. if you want to keep your RPMs lower then get off the gas pedal. simple.
