sometimes while im driving the sunroof just opens out of nowhere...it takes me forever to get it closed cause sometimes i can close it, but then it tilts open...

what can i do?

im going to audi dealership for a checkup of everything on tuesday, but i was wondering if this was something i could fix...

WOW! Kinda harsh title, but that's crazy. I read a post a little while back about someone's windows all rolling down at once, turned out they were pressing a button on the remote. Think you could have bumped something?

 

im pretty sure im not hitting anything...i mean, what else controls a sunroof?

 

I thought I remember seeing a VW commercial where the guy was all tickled because the key would open the sunroof and all of the windows. Maybe you can open it by hitting and holding a key on the remote. I'm not 100% sure. Otherwise I would think you would have some wires crossing somewhere which would never be good.

 

Run a search in the forum. This has hapened many times before. Search under sunroof and ghost.

As I recall, it is caused by dirty contacts in the sunroof switch and should be an easy fix.

 

Yes Yes clean the contacts with contact cleaner, and you should be fine.

 

yea this happens to mine all the time in my 03 . Its like it has a mind of its own [&:]
