He thinks it's funny that I am looking for a "slow family car" Audi B5 A4 1.8TQ. I however plan to show him how a well built luxury car can walk all over his junk. To my suprise the cobalt ss seems to be fairly quick 200hp 200tq LS diff fwd.....I plan on buying a chip from apr after the holiday mail rush, but now I think I may want to go K04 with a chip just to keep up. What do you guys think I should do?

Go for whatever the best turbo upgrade you can handle/afford. Sounds like a fun little rivalry.[sm=gears.gif]

To be fair to Chevy they did a pretty good job with the Cobalt SS. (And I hate Chevy's)

hahaha a K04 will walk over him, go for it. U can play slow with him an dthen just fly by him when u get bored. Isnt 0-60 on the cobalt SS around 6.2? I think audiboy said u could get high 5's 0-60 out of a K04 and the file that i cant think of the name for.

 

Any other things I should think about before I get the turbo and chip? As bad as I want to show him what an Audi can do, I dont want to hurt the motor. Are their any other parts (except clutch) I should up grade right away? DV, injectors, fuelpump.......After all I want this car to see more than one race he is already talking about a Stage II kit from chebby

 

get a ko4 and own him . You have traction and he doesnt. He also has annoying TQ steer..

 

DV-yes. Clutch-eh. Your call. Injectors/fuel pump-no, unless you get a PC-16 or equivalent file. Then I think you need injectors. I'm not an authority, though. Adjustable FPR-yes.

Why don't you just pull the trigger on the AWE holiday K04 sale? It's a couple hundred off an already cost-effective upgrade...you'll be faster than him until he upgrades his ****.
