So i was driving next to a wall in 3rd and 4th gear, cruising, using 8lbs of boost at the most and noticed that my car sounded like it would breathe every 20 or 30 seconds. sounded like a pffft sound only it definatly was not the dv. cause i would make the dv purge and it was a total diffrent noise. the car works fine, i just never noticed this sound before. does anyone know what this sound may be. it kinds sounds cool!

 

could it be just you applying slightly different pressures on the gas pedal, and it picks it up so the amount o ari need changes ?

 

no clue what it is, I think I'm keeping the gas pedal pretty much the same. speed and rpm's don't change.

 

If you have any aftermarket Intake then that would make a different sound. I know on the Ferrari you can hear it loud and clear with the BMC Race Filters.

If you have a aftermarket intake you can hear it sucking when your next to a wall...At least i can were your windows up or down?

 

every time i hear that, its some hose blown somewhere. i dread that "breathing." lucky you, you say it still runs fine.

the windows were down and I have a Carbonio intake. I always heard the sound on it sucking and it made the dv much louder but the breathing is something I haven't noticed until now. It sounds like it's alive. It doesn't do it constantly just when I am at cruising speed, not trying to accelerate. I only hear it when i am next to walls for the sound to reflect off of.
