...immediatley after a start up, it is a manual. It happens every now and then, I'd say once a month. I have never owned a manual tranny before...is that normal?

 

no i dont think thats normal at all, you should check the fuel pump or the fuel filter, i believe its somthing that has to do with the fuel delivery. thats just me though.

 

heres a newb answer correct me if i maybe wrong but maybe check the airfilter maybe its dirty and its not delivering enough air?

sounds kinda like an ignition problem..maybe not getting enough spark??

 

I have this problem too. Its a manual and its random when it does it. At first I thought it was cause I was on a hill or low gas but it does it with a full tank on flat ground. I did notice that when it dies it switches from F to C real quick then dies. The dealer can not reproduce and it doesn't throw and codes.

something that simple and the dealership can't figure it out? Well I guess they didn't believe me cause it didn't stall for them.

 

inspect the spark plugs, air filter, spark plug wires, coilpacks, fuel filter................

Thanks fellas, I was hoping it is something that just happens to standard cars...but damn I dont know if I'll be able to check all of that...besides dealrship just did a 40000 check up and I had some spark plug coils problems which they replaced all 4. AND I didn't have that problem before...hmmm maybe I'll go to another dealer and let them have a look at it.
