My car is falling apart on me. WTF!? Help!
This is bad.. I just got my b6 back from the dealership to get a new catalytic converter put on which was covered under warranty. It has been a couple days now and just about a half hour ago something weird started happening. First, when I put the car in 1st and start to release the clutch, the car starts jerking and making a loud rattling sound.At this point I just give it some more gas and it starts driving. Then when I try to shift to 2nd, it is RIDICULOUSLY hard to put it in gear. I have to push the shift **** soo hard to get it in second. If that wasn't bad enough...when I am driving in 3rd or 4th and I push the gas to accelerate, the RPM's needle will shoot up like 2000 RPMs and then back down to where it was before it starts accelerating. This all started happening at the same time so I can only assume it is caused by one problemed part...I hope. Lastly, to top it all off, when I brake, my month-old brakes squeek like nobody's business. I have no idea what caused all of this chaos in my car. Does anybody know whats going on with my car?!? Any help is greatly appreciated. Oh yea and on top of ALL of this...I got pulled over today. What a day.
The tranny porblem sounds sort of like a clutch going out. Try putting the car in 5th gear and then trying to move. If the RPM's go up then that means your clutch is going out. If it bogs down then you clutch is fine but it's something else.
As for the breaks what kind of pads did they put on there? Ceramic? Mattalic?

Oh yea I forgot that the service manager at the dealership did say that I do need a new clutch soon but not this soon. Would the clutch be causing all those problems in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears? As for the brakes I am not sure what kind they put on there.
I just did the 5th gear thing and the RPMs when up all the way to where I had the clutch like 3/4ths out but then it made that crunching rattling like sound
That sounds more severe than a clutch, when my clutch went out I didn't get any disturbing rattling noises...
When I put the car into first and released the clutch slowly gave err some gas she would start slipping immediatly therfore I'd give er more gas, 4k rpms to shift into each gear... no odd noises just a smelly engine from the hard labor I put on it to get the car moving, did that for all of 2 days max.. cause it got worse and then had it towed to a shop where my dad replaced it with ANOTHER STOCK CLUTCH
He shoulda just gone stage 2.. gg, oh well
But yeah your problem does not sound good, it definitly involves the clutch dying but those noises are bad... is your flywheel in the ******* to?

I really don't know whats going on with my car. I'm going to just not drive it until I buy a new clutch. Im going to just go stage 2 instead of another stock one. renn-art.com has a stage 2 clutch kit that comes with the flywheel and everything for $1,200
