I took my 2011 a4 for an oil change to someone I thought I could trust.

After 2000 km of driving and a reduce oil message that would be consumed I took it to another shop who discovered there was 1.5-2 L too much!

He removed excess oil and checked for codes and there are none.

Did I luckily avoid damage or should I foresee some problems because of this massive overfill?

Most likely you will be fine. Keep an eye on it though just to make sure. Overfilling keeps the oil from flowing correctly which causes heat build up. In your case it looks like you caught it quickly.

 

Is 2000 km quick enough though? Haha

I guess I'm just wondering if any of the components possibly affected can be replaced independently

 

Only components I can think of would all be internal and not cheap (or easy) to replace.
