I went to the movies in Brookline MA at the Circle Cinemas and when I went to drive home I found that someone had broken into my car and taken my gps(aftermarket garmin one) I dont care about the GPS being stolen but they broke my drivers side front window and got glass everywhere. It is sitting in my garage now waiting to be fixed. Any suggestions on where to take it? Or how to put an end to these pathetic people that are willing to break a window to steal a gps that they can only sell for 1 or 2 hundred dollars used. They didn't touch my 300 dollar radar detector, my xm radio, my nice sunglasses, but they did take all my quarters. I feel bad, the guy that broke into my car must have been dumb as a rock.

 

that sucks man. that is odd they did not take your radar as well....... as for preventing it, just don't leave nice things in sight. Also, be aware of the area you are in. I lived in Chicago for two years, and being in one of the nicest north side areas, there are still ******** who are out to steal your ****. When I was in chicago, everyone that lived in my house (about 6 people), got their cars broken into. Why? because we all had window breaking worthy items in view in our cars. If you want some revenge, just put some nice things in your car, and leave your garage open, and wait with a gun or other weapon. Once they step in your garage and attempt to break into your car..........deal with them.

I always keep fancy things out of site even my $35 XM because if a crack head will suck a **** for a rock they wont have any problem breaking your window.

Put a bunch of stuff on the front seat including money, park it in a parking lot and sit in a tinted out van. When they go for the bait, roll them.

 

The feeling you'd get from doing that might just top sex..

Ive been around my parking lot almost 10 times today lookin under suv/trucks for white paint! I CANT STAND THESE PEOPLE! One alternative for you is tinted window DARK! It may be against the law in some states but they cant see in your car, thats for damn sure. Otherwise, keep that bat in your hands and swing like Bonds baby. I dunno, cyber - guns might be over-doing it a bit, and we might accidentally hit the car as well as the crack-heads. I'm all for baseball bats and 1-3/4" spanners and lengths of chain, though.
