And about the navi thing, I drive a B5 that didn't have a Nav unit in it. Also I wrote down the cost of the HU that I have as $600 (Thats about how much it was new. They don't make it anymore and I got it for $300 used so I will get a REALLY nice brand new one!!! HAHA!)

I'm very sorry to hear about your car. I've had a differnt car of mine broken into 3 times I know how you fell. At least the cops took "finger prints" they didnt evan try with mine just looked and said nope.

BTW I'm going to try that tennis ball trick on my A4 tommorow will be interesting to see if it works with no mechnical way to see if they open. Also going to try on my co workers navigator tommorow.

Sorry to hear about this. It sucks that the losers in this world have to interfere with everyone elses personal belongings to make themselves feel better. I had $9k worth of stereo equipment stolen from my car when I was in high school. It was one of the only nights that it was parked outside. The good thing for me was that I found them. Thank god my insurance company paid for everything and then I found who did it... I hope you find out who did this. Just keep your ears open and ask around.

 

i feel for ya dood. I lived out that way for many many years and had lots of cars broken into. To many gangstas out there with nothing better to do. I mean, i had a car broken into and they stole my battery and my right front indicator, OFF A 77 CAPRICE!!

If and when ya do replace yer stuff, id consider stuff thats not quiet so flashy ya know?

Dude that sucks.... My condolences. I've had my car sorta broken into here. There's a bunch of kids that go around the neighborhood at night trying out all the door handles. They got me twice and both times stole my wallet but left everything else. I was thankful for that but man was I pissed about getting all my ID replaced. Takes FOREVER!!!!

 

That sucks bro...someone went into my car a few months ago and snagged my GPS unit while it was parked in the garage behind my house (no doors on the garage though). Felt so violated.

I was so freakin pissed...and equally perplexed about how they got it. I was pretty sure that I had locked the car, but with no evidence of how the got it, I decided that I MUST have forgotten to lock the door. But seriously...the ONE night I forget to lock my car, THAT'S the night someone walks into my backyard and tests my door handle to see if it opens?? Didn't really make sense to me....so maybe these guys actually knew what they were doing.

Redgoat, I'd be interested to hear the specifics of what you're referring to if you want to PM me...I'm moving to Boston in a couple weeks (the stolen Xenon capital of the world!) and I'm nervous as hell. I'm probably going to resort to taking my headlights out of my car at night....seriously.
