That SUCKS, man....sorry to hear that.

And here I am all pissed off because I accidentally pulled up onto a curb today (didn't feel any bump at all when it happened), and when I backed off of the curb (mind you, it was only 1/2" above the clearance point under the front bumper...), MY LOWER TRIM PIECE WAS ON THE GROUND!!!!

So in searching "pulled off bumper" under A4, I came across your post, and I think something out there was sending me a message. Like, "Relax, man. It could be worse." I only broke a couple of mounts (epoxy should fix) and did very little noticeable damage to the broken piece.

I didn't have time to read the replies yet, but just out of curiousity, did you leave anything out in your car that may have enticed? I guess your stereo was the prize that drew them in....

Anyway, sorry about your misfortune.

 

No, the only thing they could see was my head unit... WHICH i am just finding out that it MIGHT NOT BE COVERED UNDER MY INSURANCE EITHER!!!!! WTF is wrong with this insurance company??? They said that it wasn't factory so it might not count. But my subs are custom also and they are going to cover those. Man this sucks... I am getting screwed left and right with this!!!!

Update:
My insurance is covering my deck. I just got my check in the mail yesterday. It wasn't for as much as I would have liked but at least its something. I just ordered my new head unit and a single 12" sub. More trunk space and it should sound much better than what I had before. I will post pics once it all gets here and i install it.

that sucks man. specially the camera stuff also since its not covered.when you get a enw one, make sure you get insurance for it. i have personal article policy on my gear through state farm. cost me about $80/year for $5000 worth of camera equipment. its covered even when your traveling with it around the states or worldwide.

 

Unfortunately this is VERY common , rather than make a response to this im going to post a thread for every on what to do when your car is broken into and the best ways to avoid it in the future

 

i just renewed my insurance and changed my policy to include my mods. have $2000 in extra protection just in case.
