is my car a LEMON???
if the car was repaired by the owner and didn't do it through a proper garage then no records will be available ( over here its call category D insurance write off ) so not listed and only way to find out is have an inspection done and if found to have been in an accident then the dealer didn't do his job and it could fall back on them
hahah. That's what I'm starting to think too! Everything became posessed all of a sudden. I told the dealer where I bought it that I was told there are strong signs that the car was in an accident (another Audi dealer told me that), but they denied everything and said they wouldn't sell a car that had been in an accident. Also, after they said that, the only real next step would be to get a lawyer but that would be a waste of my time and money considering I haven't had to pay for any of the repairs yet. The car is currently at the dealership awaiting repair on all of the new found problems and issues. I'm ready to say I don't want the car anymore but I don't know if they will take it back and give me a refund or replace it. I'm kind of stuck right now.
Doesn't Carfax have a buyback guarantee? Get the dealer to tell you in writing that they believe the car was in an accident. Contact Carfax and let them know of the situation. They (Carfax) might buy the car back from you. Contact the police department of the city where the car was last registered, and you might have some luck getting a police report. Just my .02
