I wen't on a road trip to Solvan, Ca. on Friday after work. I filled up at a gas station near my house and reset the tripmeter to zero and started driving. On the way, I thought I'd try to find out what my A4's mpg is. My driving style for that night was very conservative, no sudden stops and no sudden accelarations while stuck in traffic in the LA area. Once I passed the congested part of LA, I had the cruise control set to 70mph and after 92 miles of driving, I was amazed at what my mileage was. The display showed 92.7 miles on the trip, used less than a quarter of a tank and still had 440 miles to go on the remaining gas in the tank.

nice milage, i used to get that kinda of mileage befor

 

your gonna have to help me out man, I only get to see my milage when I fill up. Feckin car has now compueter for that.

freeway driving we get great milage but when we hit the streets it goes down the crapper

 

i average around 380-400 mpg on every tank. believe it or not, i have a very heavy foot. i use fuel system cleaners every 1000 miles and put a bottle of gas treatment everytime i fill up..with 93 of course

 

It sure was boring as hell cruising at 70 though, during the whole test I wanted to open up but took a deep breath and held back... At least now I know my car can do 33+ mpg if I want it to
