It came with the car when i got it. Can somone tell me why its still so quiet? when i go past 35 you cant even hear it unless i downshift. do i need a downpipe? or just a diff exhaust? maybe if somone explains the mechanics of what makes an exhaust loud it would help. I dont want ricer load but sexy loud. you guys know what i mean! =) pics soon i swear

 

the audis arent even that loud the turbo cuts down on exhaust note a lil,
are you chipped becuase that made my exhaust alot louder?

 

i am not chipped, as far as i know. i got my car used and it really bugs me that i dont know what mods it has. if somone could tell me a way i can figure it out that would be awesome. i dont even know where to look for a chip, let alone headers, but im learning.

yea you can definatley tell if your chipped... Do yourself a favor grab a 10mm open up your ecu housing and check for giac, apr stickers... If your chipped it should have it... Newer technology will be flashed on... more convient.... BTW the search funciton will give you all your answers because mostly likely it has been already covered... plus you get faster results... try it out

A boost gauge is a must with any turbo charged car, so you should get one and youll know then if you are chipped or not. Audi is stupid for not putting a boost gauge in their turbo'd cars from the factory even though they are considered a "light compression" turbo at least in the A4.
