Default My New A4!

Hey guys, just introducing myself to the forum. First off I want to say thanks to all the posters who have already helped me solve some problems just by searching through DIY's, etc. Just bought a 97 A4 1.8TQM for $4800. Has 154k on it, but still runs strong. Turbo was replaced at 140k (damn k03 sport), and I got a timing belt job in the very near future. Probly paid a little too much for it, but its pretty nice cosmetically for being 10 years old, and runs well for its age. Gotta fix some maintenance things before I start modding (kinda scared of the high miles), but summer is on the way! Let's hear some of your thoughts. I know it should be lowered, but its still winter here, and I don't want to be plowing snow. And the lowers also need to be painted.

List of things to do

1. get 99.5+ tails - you'll have to change the wireing a little but no big deal
2 shave off that little audi symbol under your side blinker
3. get some 1 or 2pc ecodes (2pc if you don't want to cut into your fender)

Lookin good - I'm in the same boat with modding and high mileage. I'm not planning on selling this one and keeping it till it dies so I'm willing to put $$$ into it.

Call me ricer, but I'm thinking about trying to pull off the silver and black look. I want some black 5 spokes with polished lip (JH8 style) and I found some black valeo(sp?) style headlights without angel eyes on ebay that you don't have to trim the fenders, I'll post the link around noon. Then I plan on probably tinting my taillights. I have to change my timing belt before anything though! Was last changed at 82k!

I knew that was coming! We'll see what happens. Really want to chip it, etc., but the high miles scares me! I was born in Ashland by the way.
