Hey All - Have done a little searching around, but thought I'd post here and see what ideas the gurus can come up with.

Stats:

98 A4 Quattro
Miles: 88,500
5sp / standard

Issue:

From stop light, just after turning left at ~15-20 mph in 2nd gear the engine just dies. Pull over, wait a minute, and just try to restart - which works fine. Car starts great. Engine seems to idle lower than normal in neutral though - bogging down a couple of ticks below 1k RPM. I'm able to continue on to work - a good 20 miles from the stall point - without problems. Also notice that idle RPM seems to have returned to normal levels, and not bogged down. Gas isn't any different than what I've been using, and is currently 3/4 tank.

Any ideas? Searching through the net I'm seeing a variety of things that is so broad I'm not sure where to start. I guess the issue is maybe just that generic though. Not loaded financially so if I can analyze this the cheap way I'd prefer that. =)

You may want to replace your fuel filter and check to see if your fuel pump is working fine, you may hear some loud noises from the back by the gas tank fuel filter is a bitch to do on the B5, i would start there its an 8 dollar part
