MY STEREO PICS! The IMPOSSIBLE 2000 A4...
Damnit, my week has been HECTIC over this stereo job... but, the fruits of my labour (other peoples labour, actually) has paid off. This thing sounds INSANE. the HU in the pic will be for sale shortly, im upgrading to the same HU, that has no internal amplifier.
the 2 amps are fastened to the back of the sub box, the wiring is beautiful... so meticulous. note the custom surround for the head unit. I told the guys to make a template... if anybody else with a 2000 a4 wants to upgrade decks, they can contact me. It cost 110 CDN dollars, and matches really nicely with the car.

that's sick man. do u have a pic with the headunit stored away so people can see the fit and finish around the HU?

Umm, never got a pic with the 'faceplate' retracted. Will get one tomorrow maybe.
The stereo is.. 850 watts RMS, and is worth thousands of dollars
check out the prices on my stuff if your considering it.
deck: alpine cda-7897
sub amp: jl 500/1
speaker amp: alpine mrv-540
speakers: alpine SPX-137r
wires: full 'street wires', 4 guage power, and the ZN6 RCA's (3 pairs of 'em)
my 12 disc changer is yet to be hooked up, its an alpine ... CHA-1214 or something.
my new deck will be an alpine cda-7998, and am very stoked about it (though its very similar to my current one)

yes it's mdf vinyl wrapped, and yes, fabricated all the shizza behind the face -- to support the deck.
anybody wanna by the alpine deck in the pics? MMM its amazing! I set up the time correction today... you measure the distance from your head, to each speaker... and delay the speakers accordingly (closest speakers get the most delay, the furthest speaker -- the sub -- gets no delay) this way, all the speakers sound, get to your ear at the same time... since sound is slow like that. it makes a BIG difference, you honestly cant tell where the sound is coming from it just fills the car with rich, beautiful sound. MMM.
