i have a 1999 A4 1.8T i just joined the forum and i have a huge problem. i bought my car like 2 weeks ago i have done a few mods to it. i have a stright Exhaust no mufflers no cat. a HKS BOV, FMIC off a EVO VIII, and a MAF off a VR6 VW ,no air filter i wraped the MAF with a nylon stocking,APR Stage 1+ and kkk04 turbo. my car sounds really really loud and you can here my turbo spool up. i dont know why but my check engine light is on and my ABS light too. but thats the least of my worries my car also stals when i come to a stop if i dont keep my foot on the gas. can some one please help me!

 

dont know what the prob is but i would first recmend getting an air filter. that is just asking for problems. ur car dies du to no back pressure from ur getto exhaust.. hey man u and ur car belong at the honda forum

lord of the rings, first off, get rid of your bov and get a diverter valve. go to autozone and use their loner scanner and post the codes on this thread, then we can tell you what is causing your CEL....you've got a few mods that are probably all causing the CELs and also the stalling (straight-through exhaust, bov, no air filter)...audiboy only flamed you because there's been a lot of ricer kids asking stupid questions lately, several of which involve BOVs...so that subject is just a little touchy right now.

 

Did that fmic fit good in your car?
My buddy has an evo and he is giving me his fmic because he is upgrading.
I know you have a b5 and I have a b6 but it should have somewhat the same room.

 

nylon is good for so many things

 

cell is prob the o2 sensors that are sopose to be on the cats.....is prob also linked to his stalling prob.
