Well i juss bought an A4 from a used dealership and i was wondering if u could get any help with the code for the radio. I know i could go back to the dealership and ask him for help. But i figure to ask here as well if he cant help out. Im a newbie to the Audi's so there are much to learn about for this car. Its a 2001 A4 1.8T auto. with the tiptronic if i got that right. SO plz any help thanks.

 

go back to the dealer mate or look in the service history for a 4 digit code

 

You would have to take your car to your local Audi stealership and they would have to get the code for you. They might ask you for proof of ownership. If you have the original manual, the code might be written in the manual somewhere. Where did you buy your A4 from... an Audi stealership or an independent used car place? If it was Audi, they might be able to look it up for you.

 

ohh i see there are other post about this. Ill look them up. Service History??? i didnt get the booklet that maybe have came with car.

 

i got that from an independent used car place... yes and there is no audi dealership around lol.

 

try contacting the last owner but since you just bought it the garage should take responsibility

 

if you didn't get any of the owners manual's with the car then you are SOL. The code is on the back of the front cover of the sound system manual. Your only other option is to go to an audi dealer and ask them to get the code for you. they will charge you.
