hi so i have the 1.8t and the cts (coolant temp sensor) on the back of the block pops out when the system builds pressure. i can't put the clip in cuz the little "bridge" i dont no what to call it, broke off. if any one can tell me how i can rig it together without buying a new flange, that would be awesome.

A new flange is $35. That is your best bet as you don't want to 'rig' anything having to do with keeping your 1.8T from overheating. Anything else you might try to get it to work is going to be just as difficult as putting in the new flange.

 

i would like to atleast try something other than that cuz i had a hell of a time getting everything hooked up on it and that was when the motor was still on the engine hoist
