Default Need Help With HID's..already searched

good morning and happy 05' to all the members. i wish everyone the best for the new year. i woke up this morning without a hangover, so i decided to use my time researching HID's and E-codes. I searched all over the forum and cant quite seem to find the info I want. I own a 2001.5 with the stock projector headlights. Can I do a conversion to HID with these headlamps? E-codes + HID's is a little out of my spending limit right now. I was also thinking about converting my fog lights to HID's. Is that possible? If someone wouldnt mind helping me out here to piece together everything I need that would be awsome! I prefer to use ebay. Thanks for the help in advance. Oh yeah, I want something in the 4000-5000 kelvin range.

Sure I can help. You can retrofit a D2S HID kit into your OEM projectors. It requires a little bit of modification. Check out http://www.oemhid.com to see the procedure. If you want some ebay kits do a search on ebay for hella and xenon

Try LLtek, I had stock halogen and I bought a xenon conversion kit for about 400 bucks.

It makes sense to convert the low beams to xenon. If you convert the high beams , they wouldn't come on quickly. Shouln't fogs be amber?

I just cleaned the headlight glass with Rain X and my OEM xenons are white again.

Yeah there is a few second delay before the beams are warmed up and full brightness. It seems almost silly unless you live in the country and use them all the time. And yeah having xenon fogs is purely cosmetic, as yellow is a much superior color for fog conditions.

Jestnomen, do you have AIM? Should I go with the oemhid.com kit, or could I save money putting together my own kit? Are these the correct adapters? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=36476
