how many miles are on your car and what engine is it? any engine lights? if it is a 1.8t it sounds like your timing belt could have slipped a couple of teeth. If that is the case then the ticking you hear is your piston hitting your valves. that is the worst case senarion on the other side of the coin it could be something as simple as a boost leak hence the no boost and the ticking noise. wish I could help more

if that is the case then probably a boost leak, check all of the flanges around our turbo and the check all of the pipes going into the intercooler, they are plastic and love to crack.

How are you verifying that there is no boost? Got a boost gauge???? The ticking sound is probably your cam chain tensioner.

Very strange signature btw

Are you going to answer my quesion, or just make baseless assumptions about needing a new engine?

I guess get your ecu scanned for fault codes (you might be in limp mode even if you dont have a cel) and get a boost gauge asap.
