Default Need Help W/ Headlight.....

Okay, I have a 2002 A4, and my passenger side headlamp has gone out. The lowbeam will not come on. Now, I was wanting to replace it, but I went to three different places, and got all different answers. Are my lowbeams HID's????? I went to Checker's, they said I needed this little bitty bulb. Didn't seem right, so I didn't buy it. Went to O' Reilly's they looked in their Sylvania catalogue, and it showed my light as being HID. They said they couldn't order it. The dealer I bought it from said it wasn't HID, it was just a 'projector', and I just needed a 'regular' bulb. It likes like a HID to me. My Z has bi-level Xenons, and my Audi's light looks just like the ones my Z. But after my conflicting answers, I'm lost. Someone pleases help. What do I need to do to replace my light??????

There is no bulb to see. If you're looking into the the front of the headlamp assembly, you see the high beam light on the right (closest to the grille), w/ a visible bulb, and on the left, you see what looks like a Xenon or HID light. You cannot physically see a bulb. And the driver side works. And so does the high beam on the passenger side. It's just the passenger low-beam. And I'm trying to find out if it's HID, and if it's not, what bulb to replace it w/.

If all else fails, pull the bulb. Take the back off of the light; there should be two small tabs you press in at the top of the housing, and you canremove the cover. The low-beam bulb should be held in there by a clip fastener.

If they are factory lights, and not aftermarket, i'm banking it's a Halogen H7 bulb.

pull the headlight out, and look for a ballast under it
the bulb will be an h7 for non xenon
or d2s for xenon
