Default Need a little help??

Didnt know where to put this, so i hope this is ok..

my fuel pump recently died on my on the high way, no worning signals just up and died, car only has a hair over 80K its a 1.8t 99 a4 with an AEB just did a ko4, custom Exhaust, GIAG ko4 programing (not PC 16) and my shop told me I needed a 5-bar fuel presure regulator, so I bought an ajustable one and cranked it up.. Just was woundering if the feul pump was a common problem and if anything that I upgraded had anything to do with it going on me.. I have to drive the car to the cape this weekend and im a little worried...

the Bosch pump was a problem in the older cars but your problem could be the mods need a performance pump

didnt know they had one, and I thought that adding a fuel presure regulator that would alow more presure would make it easier for the pump.. could be wrong, it happens.. do you have a link to where i can get one, i looked around but couldnt find anything but stock or a VDO replacement..
