hawk hps pads front and rear, with the OEM slotted rotors sounds good enough for me, im not going to be takin it to the track or racin it so im not too worried about the other big brakes and all that, although it would be nice to have haha... now what about anything else for the brakes while im in there? i have 43000 miles on the car and im pretty sure its mostly all original parts on her

There's not really much else to look into. You could swap in SS lines if you're so inclined, but that really pretty much covers the braking system.

If you're talking about new bolts and such, why not? Even though they don't actually wear out, it is possible through multiple jobs, to round off bolt heads or strip out allen heads. Maybe not a bad idea to replace your hardware.

Cobra, didn't know that you were rolling with a 03 3.0. The reason that the big brake upgrades from ESC are so much is that your stock brakes are already 312mm. Which is what we with older (B5) A4's upgrade our 288mm rotors to.

Yeah, in that case you're gonna be looking at big bucks, as you saw, to upgrade those. In your case, maybe a better (but same-sized) set of rotors with more performance-oriented pads and some SS lines. As Cincy (I believe) said, StopTech is a waste of money on a purely street-driven car. It's like using your Gallardo as a grocery-getter.
