hey just blew my 5speed in my 99 a4 avant q 1.8. i want to find a reman'd one or somethin. got a few ideas of where to get one but am very open 2 suggestions. im on east coast... jersey and connecticut n such. thanks

Don't know where you can get reman.

Two auto recyclers that deal with Audi are shoksan and dads auto. Shoksan is on the east coast, dads on the west coast. Some people have had trouble with shoksan. I've ordered a few small parts from dads auto without any problem.

 

I think it is time for 2.8 tranny.

bolts straight up? wheres reverse front left or back right? this sound very interesting.

 

pretty sure it just bolts on, all your gears will be in the same place....alot of guy swap for top end reasons....try LKQCORP.COM...I think they may be west coast, but they should have a tranny for ya....gl!

 

is the gearing diff like in 1st 2nd n 3rd?... cuz dats where my car is fun.
