gt28rs...all the way... the ko4 will only get you at most with everything and tunning like 325 at most but the gt28 can get you like 425 with same mods...

neither turbo is going to get you into 300-400whp....Maybe 300chp...but that would be lucky, with a lot of mods. the gt28r will have better top end hp, but the ko4 is going to spool up quicker. With the ko4, programming is easy to find. I dont know of anyone other than atp that makes it for the gt28r......Im sure the other guys(and gals) will know some others.
Ko4 will bolt on directly. the gt28r will either need to be ordered through atp....eliminator kit.....or an adapter flange from the three bolt manifold to the turbo flange.

OH, AND YOU CAN'T GET EITHER OF WITH WITHOUT UPGRADING YOUR ECU/SOFTWARE.

Hi,

I was thinking the same thing about either K04 or GT28R, I don't want to go bigger than a GT28R, as it provides good-exciting HP while still giving good drivablity. You could get upto around 300hp with right bits, K04 maybe 230,though I read in PES article that reliability of the K04 questionable above 215HP, that's hardly much above standard. I think the spool time of Gt28r about 500 rpm later than K03.

You can get software for the Gt28R from PES tuning, I know, I asked for it.
I'd prefer it over the T28 kit they've offered for a while.

APR also have tuning - though maybe bit more expensive and may want you to buy whole turbo kit. Could be a few people that offer GIAC software to suit.

The previous HP figures I postedare for Audi A4 B5, other Audi's may vary; B6, TT
