NEED RIM HELP.. badly needed.
ok, so the girl that had my 02 a4 1.8T before me distroyed the stock rims. curb rash everywhere. would rather get them fixed then buy new ones and throw away oem rims bc i don't think i can get anything for them. i need either an inexpensive way/place to black out/refinish my rims or if anyone knows a company that will buy rashed rims, please let me know. i live in southeast, the more local, the better. thanks.
side note: trunk lip- nice addition or poor choice?

You could alwayspaint them black, then you wouldn't see the damage as badly.

Two other options - one, sell them to someone up north to use as winter wheels with dedicated snow tires, either here on the forum or on eBay, or two, check out www.fixrim.com (I think that's the URL) for repair options.

as soon as it warms up, i'm repainting my wheels. this time im using filler primer which should fix all the defects from the previous owner. and im also using clear coat this time to make them glossy. so i'll have another DIY up soon

i did mine too........ and they look ok...... i am thinking about redoing mine as well, as the final sanding i did left too deep of a scratch and some of the paint is thinner in spots than others......... but they got me through what i wanted
yeah the final outcome depends heavily on the prep work. its supposed to be in the 50's and 60's w/ lots of rain all week. i did them on my back patio last time, its covered but is 60 too cold to paint?
