Default Need some advice!

Hi, Im new to the forums. Recently bought a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T, 5spd

I'm looking to do relatively cheap upgrades to the engine etc... To increase my cars performance (Horse Power, Torque) I'm curious if you guys can give some of your recommendations as to what are the best upgrades for what I'm looking for. Items you have in your car, items you've heard are good etc. As of right now i've looked into (Cold Air Intake *Carbonio*), ECU, Exhaust, K&N Air Filter. Those are just a couple things i've looked at. Please give some feed back as to if im headed in the right direction and some other items I should consider. Thanks

-Amze

Also, if I get an ECU chip that requires 91 Octane Gas, that means I am required to fill my car up with that grade of gas if the chips in my car?

I'm looking to spend 350-450$ and get the most performance wise for that price at first, I'll buy more stuff as more money becomes avalible.

You should be putting 91 anyways it's the minimum requirement.

you should search. this question has been asked a lot.

first thing u should do is chip. it'll give u the most bang for the buck. revo is a good choice for b6's. but apr and giac work well too. personally i wouldnt get a carbonnio intake just caue it so expensive and doesn't add that much hp. i would get an evo one. borla exaust is nice or if you have the money milltek sounds very nice. and if u live in a state with no emissions get a test pipe

You sure. In most cars it says 91 minimum right below the gas gauge. In my 03 A4 1.8t Quattro is only says to use standard fuel of any kind... Doesnt specify like most cars do when they require 91.

Also thanks alot for the tips chaoss, more would be great guys

Do you have any links to a trustworthy site that provides Evo exhaust and Chips that would make most sense for me to buy?
