will the 99-01 taillights fit my car? what about the '00 S4 bumper?

Yes, and yes. You'll need to trim a little metal behind your headlights to fit the newer housings.

Oh yeah, my bad about the light thing. Yes, they will fit your car as well, without the metal trimming. The bumper will also fit, though it's frustrating to mount.

 

the tails will fit and so will the bumper, both are a direct bolt on but on the tail lights a wire will need to switched.

what about different bulb holders? shokan wants to sell them to me for $18 each...they claim i need them for the updated tail lights?

 

the bulb harnesses are different, yes. but if you buy the taillight housings, the harnesses should come with them.
