Need your help
Hello all! I am new to this forum and although have not purchased my first Audi yet, I hope to be doing it soon with the help of this forum. I am interested in the B6 with a 1.8T, quattro. I did read the "Newbie's Guide" sticky but didn't find and info on this so here it goes:
1. Does the b6 have the timing belt issue at 70k too?
2. What is the difference between a full body colored versus a different lower body colored b6?
3. Give me a few things to look for before buying my first Audi.
4. If I decided to upgrade the turbo in the future, would it be useless to chip it, or would they work together?
Thanks

What year is the car?
here are some basic answers for ya though:
1. all audi's need a timing belt change between 60-70k, it's just not worth buying a new engine
2. just depends on what look you like, some people like the lowers a diff. color, most want it the same color.
3. Timing belt for sure, and just make sure its been maintained well, they are very reliable cars.
4. depends on the brand you buy, if you get GIAC, then you can chip, buy a turbo later, and have it rechipped for $25. GIAC changes the settings in your current ECU and you don't need to buy a chip so that is why they can just rechip easily. Although you have to have a dealer where you live to do that. Otherwise you'd have to buy a new chip and sell your current one.

or get APR once you get your turbo, it will be like one humungious mod, but you would also have to do a front mount, bigger fuel injectors, and it would be a good idea to have free flowing exhaust at that point...
but for normal people who get mods as they come, i would go with GIAC, see im not biased
