New 99 A4 1.8T owner!
Hello friends,
I just bought a 99 1.8T Quattro with 75k miles. It is super clean and drives awesome. It did not come with an owners manual so i'm probably going to buy one from ebay. I think it also has the sport package because it has a 3 spoke steering wheel. Anything I should know? I'm going to have a dealer run the VIN to see if the timing belt has been changed, because that sure is expensive.
Also I was looking at ebay to find cool headlights, except a lot of them are 1-piece and I dont feel like cutting the car. They also sell 2-piece ones that look nice but they do not include the fog lights! My fogs are built into the headlight and I like this feature. What should I do about that? Can i just buy some aftermarket fogs and hook them up to the same wire that controlled them in the OEM headlights and then place then in the grille or something?

I don’t think your car has the sport pkg cuz the wheels are the wrong ones but I might be wrong... As far as head lights go just get some OEM one piece ones you really don’t have to cut very much and its fairly simple I believe there’s a DIY here for it. and fog lights you can wire just about anything up you want it just takes a little know how but most people can figure it out with out a problem but I would mount them down on the bumper not up in the grill.

Also, if you had the sport package, you would have the bigger wheels and the shift buttons on the steering wheel with tiptronic. Hard to tell. Looks like it sits a little high for the sport pkg. as well. Still very nice! I like the color scheme.
aww i was hoping i had the sport package. i would like to chip it but I keep reading that I need a Diverter Valve along with the chip. I have no idea on how to install such a thing. I dont even know where the turbo is located
