Default new a4

I need to get a car with awd cuz im moving out to Utah soon and my mustang wont cut it.
I was wondering if u guys could help me out with which kind of a4 to get...(1.8T, quattro, ect..) cuz i dont know what it all means...what r ur opinions?
i have about 7,500 to 8,000 to spend

i want to be able to mod it somewhat, like an exhaust and cai and little things like that, but i reliability is nice also...

then the v6 is for you. there's all the little things you can do to it like you listed.

Maintenance is going to be a LOT higher on any Audi you decide on, compared to your Mustang. They'll run forever, but it's going to cost you. [>:]

you're gonna be looking at a B5 A4 (96-01), so the common problems are things like timing belt and control arms, which aren't exactly cheap. use the search function, the answers to your questions are all over the place here.
