New A4
Well I got my new A4 (well, used but new to me)
its a 1999 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
Leather Interior
About 81k Miles
Turbo was replaced last week, new brake pads, turned rotors.
Has an APR Cat-back exhaust on it also.
Picked it up for 10k
The 1st thing im going to do is get a labree 2.5" test pipe.
Then Chip (GIAC)
Then DV (most likely with the chip)
Its black with dark leather interior!!
I love my car, way better than my old 93 Saturn SC1!! HAHAHA
Im also going to 35% tint the windows , depending.
I've been reading alot and I figured I better introduce myself!!

congrats on the new car, man. Sounds like a good buy (the APR exhaust along is worth $750). But we need pics!
btw - you don't have leather - you have leatherette. common misconception for the 1.8t.

Assumptions are the mother of all screwups, I do have a carfax stating it was serviced 28 times. Im not sure if one of those times one the timing belt or not...
Is there any way to tell?

1.8Ts all have leatherette as an option. real leather is only available on the V6s...they both look pretty similar, not sure about durability....
you should check the receipts (hopefully you got them with the car) to see if the tb has been replaced...if you don't have receipts, take it to a mechanic...you can also just take a look at the belt for cracks or frays...search the forums on what to do when getting your tb done, you can do it yourself and save a few hundred bucks...
