Default New to Audi

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and to the Audi world. I just picked up a 1998 A4 1.8T. So far, I love it. its got 100,000 miles, and has some mods already done.

I had one quick question though. The clip on the dipstick broke last night as i was checking the oil while filling up my first tank. I am going on a road trip, and was wondering if there would be a problem if the dipstick does not seal on the tube properly? the stick is in there, but ther just isn't the seal there should be. I don't have the time to fix it before i go. what do you guys think?
I figure, there is no pressure down in the pan, just sloshing, so it should be fine, but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks,

-Neeraj

Should be ok. Its a cheap $1-2 fix but you should be ok in the meantime.

You can always secure with a small piece of duct tape just to be safe in the meantime.
