Default New Audi Owner:)

Hello everyone I am a new proud owner of an A4. I purchased the car just about 2 months ago. I love the car; however, ever since day #3, the car has had this foul odor in it. It smells like when u open a bag of dry cat food.........................It is nauseating. Has anyone else encountered this smell?

Today I met with an Audi Corporate Technician to see if he could troubleshoot the smell. Unfortunately he did not have a great sense of smell, which did not help me out.

They did find water in the heater box, and cleaned it out and then sprayed an neutralizer in the vents, but the smell is still there.

Try to find where it is coming from. Vents or sometimes carpet. If it is carpet, try some fabreze spray to try to get rid of the smell. If you can locate source on the carpet, and fabreze doesn't stop it, go to a pet store and buy one of the pet products with enzymes (eg Nature's miracle). Saturate the spot that smells. It takes up to 2 weeks for the enzumes to beake down the smell.
