Default New Audi Owner!

I just purchased my first Certified Pre-Owned Audi Yesterday. Great service. I don't have it yet since they are fixing the window. They noticed one going down slower than the rest so they took it upon them selves to fix it which is great. Here she is. No personal pics yet cause its still at the dealership.

The first thing I wanted to do to it was obviously chip it. It's a 2004 six speed manual. Now I've heard some stuff that I need to get a new DV if I do. Is this true? Any other cons to chipping it? I'd love to get that little extra performance.

Cons to chipping are it will be more powerful and you'll want to use that power resulting in bad fuel economy![:@]

I love the USP(ultra sport) look - Some dealers are cool with chipping others are dicks - so don't "flaunt" it around that you got one put in. You don't need a new DV when you chip but your stock one will fail after a few thousand miles if you don't, so its just better to get it over with now. Get a Bosch 701n - it look stock and that is best when under a CPO warranty, the Forge will stick out and I've heard of dealers refusing some warranty work do to aftermarket DV's.

Lookin good

Thats a nice looking ride.
Is it quattro? How many miles?
What did they get you for?

I second the chip and the stock looking dv.

It has every option besides the Navigation system. So yup its a quatro. They got me for 20,000. It had about 51,000 miles on it. I'm happy
