Default New audi owner! I need a lil help!

I just bought my first Audi on saturday and I am stoked about it. By far the nicest car I have owned. It is a 99 A4 1.8T Quattro, only 53400 miles on it! Best part, I got it for only $7,000! I thought it was a pretty sweet deal.

Well anyway I have a few questions about it, considering I am a noob audi owner and mine didn't come with an owners manual. [:@]

1. How do you set the analog clock?

2. How do the fog light buttons work, if you push the right one in turns on the left one, but whether if you have just one on or both on the fog lights appear to do the same thing? Kinda confusing.

3. Lastly, I had it in my driveway last night and I noticed that there was fluid leaking from the bottom of it and it made running puddle down my driveway. It was clear, not oily, no smell and tastless. Judging from the description of the fluid it really just seams to be water, and my car runs fine with no warning lights or anything. But why would it just leak water? I wasn't running the AC either(too cold for that Brrr...)

Thanks in advance for the help, this looks like a great forum!

1. pull the stick out and turn a bit, the hands will start moving

2. the right button is the rear fogs, the left is front fogs, if you turn on the rear fogs it automatically turns on front fogs (not sure why) just stick with the left button.

3. my car does the same thing, not a problem @ all.

1. search
2. search
3. search

really, you could have found this, but here you go since you're new....

1. pull out the left side dial - do-hicky - thingy. It will spin the hands.

2. one is for the front fogs, the other is for the rear reverse lights.

3. Are you sure it wasn't just water running off from the belly pan or somethig, from the last rainy day? Just keep an eye on your fluid levels to be sure. Next time try to see where its actually coming from, look around the engine bay with a flashlight while the car is warmed up and running.

4. welcome to the forums, and make sure you put up some pictures. We get grumpy if its all posts and never any pictures!

1. its one of the dash buttons like the odometer but it needs to be turned to the left for the Hrs and the right for the MINs,
2. front and rear fog lights only use what you need to, one button is for the rear and the other is for the front,
3. the aircon could be on auto mode ( it works with heat as well as cold ) its not a cold thing aircon can be used to heat a cabin up,

Wow, thanks both of you guys for the very fast replies.

acetrebo, I did try to search for the clock setting. I tried google and searching this forum and came up with nothing.

Lol, and yes I did taste it! Haha, I was so baffeled that it didn't have any kind of smell or oily feel that I just had to taste it and see what was up. Atleast it is is only water and that it is not a bad sign!

I'll try to get some pics up as soon as I can.

Thanks agian to both of you!

Nah... It's not like I drank it! It was just a little touch to the tip of my tongue, followed by some spitting just in case!
