Hi, I just bought my first European car, and have a question. I am an american muscle car guy at heart, but so far I love my A4. Its just these computers i dont like. The display thing between where the speedo and tach are has stopped working. The O.K. light still comes on, and i can still run the autocheck, but it no longer displays the radio information and temp and that stuff. How do i make it work again? Oh its a 1998 A4 2.8 Quattro, 5 spd.

Haaa I guess I am not the only one jumping on the import wagon after muscle cars
I took me a while to adjust to no torque until 2000rpm thing

I had a modified mustang gt before this, sometimes I miss the power slides... but I still love the quality on the audis...

Anyways unfortunately I don't have an answer to your problem but good luck.

There is a button on underneath the windshield wiper stalk that turns that display on and off. You can also toggle between the various information the screen displays with the buttons on the end of that same stalk.

 

ya, press and hold that button. she'll light up.
