hey fellas, i just bought my first Audi. Its a 1998 a4 Automatic 1.8T. Glad to be part of the forums .

welcome lets see some pics.. how many miles?? if its over 60k i would get the Timing belt done immediately if it hasnt been done already

btw i was thinking about modding my car. Im not sure if i should though since i dont know **** about cars let alone audis but im realy interested in learning. And does it matter if its an automatic or manual?

nice buy.

i got mine at 75k miles for $9200 after TT&L and thought that was a good deal (well, that was 6 months ago)

welcome to the forums, at first i didn't even look hard enough to see that red pinstripe, def get rid of that if you can. Idk who would put that color stripe on a silver audi... And the only thing with automatic vs manual is that your automatic (tiptronic) trans can't handle as much power as a standard tranny. Good first mods are chip and tipchip, i'll let one of the turbo'd guys elaborate more for you cause I myself have a 2.8 V6. But basically a chip will increase hp and torque via fuel mapping and more boost out of your turbocharger. And a "tipchip" will basically reduce the lag in shifts when you use the tiptronic.
