2.8 also came in Front Trac... Anyway, 2.8 may have more power STOCK AS IS. But with the 1.8T engine, the possibilities are endless. With the 2.8... That's not the case.

If you're planning on making the car faster, or modifying it at all, buy a 1.8T, you'll be happier in the long run.

The 1.8t is also offered in awd, the 2.8 is a reliable motor but if you want to mod at all the 2.8 is worthless and the 1.8 is the way to go, with very little money the 1.8 will have a bunch more power than the 2.8 and ba alot faster

Hey welcome man.

Please take a gander at the search function... it has all of the answers to all of those questions...

And you can get a 1.8T with quattro... and a chipped 1.8T has more power than the v6, with better mileage. Food for thought. Search for more info.

welcome to the site, Im assuming that this is the car that will need to get you through college? if so get a 2.8 or a 1.8t with warranty. If you treat them well they will too but I recomend a warranty as well. Dont mod the car at your age, your just starting out. get some time driving under your belt before you start modding. either car will have more then enough power for a new driver like yourself. Good luck in your choice.

ya, i was planing on a 240sx, but i didnt want to put in $3-4k to make it nice. im not really tryin to make the car fast, just like basic mods (exhaust, intake, chip, shifter, springs). but the 1.8 w/chip sounds nice. im goin be buyin this car used so fogetbout the warrenty. theres no real big problems with these cars, cause right now thats wat im worried about. are parts expensive for these since there german cars...

well originally i thought your parents were buying and paying for this car. When I was 16 I had a civic and it was great to me cheap and actuall quite quick for a civic. I almost bought another civic over my audi just for the fact of fuel costs and the the price of audi maintenance. But I wanted a more luxary car so I went audi.
