well i just picked up my car a few hours ago with my new SPEC stage 1 clutch intsalled and it's much different from the stock. its like i almost had to learn to drive a stick again. its like the feel of my friends GTi clutch but better. i cant really notice any new capabilities maybe because i havent broken it in yet. i hope i do notice some improvement in performance. best of all, i purchased it for $335 compared to $480 for the oem clutch. so far, i would recommend SPEC clutches to others, but i really cant say yet.

 

and its so much easier to push in the clutch than on the oem

my car is being done as we speak, puting in an ECS STAGE 2 clutch/flywheel (RS4 disk/pressure plate with a light weight flywheel)

i cant wait till i get the car back on thursday!!!

why exactly did you cahnge your clutch? Did you change your flywheel also?

 

not necessarly, depending on the geomety of the fingers of the clutch and other things they could theoreticly make it easyer and still get mor grip.
