will a 710N diverter valve suffice with a k04 upgrade or do I need something stronger? IfI should upgrade what's my best option?

ok well i had the 710n in with APR stage 1+ but that car got totaled. I just got a 2005 1.8t and they're transferring the chip for free but I'm considering doing a k04 upgrade in the future. Can I buy the 710n again and save some money or will the k04 need the upgraded dv? If so which one?

appreciate the replies but I think yall missed the question. I need to know if a 710n is strong enough to run with a k04 setup. If I would need to upgrade it what would you reccomend?

Depends on what k04 file you go with.If you get the basic file then it would be fine. If you go with the agressive file, like pc16 or j31, hammer, etc, id go with something with an aluminumpiston style diaphram. My 710N dv died after a year of boosting 20 psi. You might be able to get by with a 710N, but you might not. A forge style DV is serviceable for maintnence anddifferent boost setups, and has a lifetime waranty. If price is a concern, they are always for sale in the classifieds here and on other sites.
