everybody on here thinks that engine swaps are a horrible idea. they are not. you could do it. but why a 3.2? why not go for a VR6T? there are already a couple projects. www.034motorsports.com has made all the parts you would need. VR6's are cheap to source. best of all, the 034 car puts out 600 awhp. i would talk to them and for a couple + grand , go that rout. IMP

That sure is oneboldlyignorant blanket statement. I know you're exaggerating to prove a point, but lets not get all holier than thou [8D]
No way he is going to build a vr6T with a few grand. For a few grand, we are talking bolt on's, not engine builds/swaps.

it depends on what you call a few grand. for 2,000 you can't really do anything to a 2.8, a chip and an intake. for the most part everyone on here is against any sort of engine swap. which is a shame in my opinion. maybe it's just the high school flamers. anyways. I think you could do it with less then 8. Just source the hell out of parts and take your time. Wait for good deals.

yeah the 12v vr6 engine shouldn't run you more than 250, so that would bring the price down to 8 g's but you also gotta add a FMIC, bov, wg, piping, and minor custom work to subframe, etc...and we haven't even started talking about suspension and bbk. so if you have a car already pretty much built to BT specs, you would be spending around 8 g's, a completely stock a4 were looking around 12-14 g's. which is probly the reason why most people here are against engine swaps, they simply can't afford it. and not everyone here is looking for a 500+ awhp beast (i am tho)
