Default The New Guy

Hey

Just wanted to say that this is my first post in these forums and hopefully there will be many more to come as I am interested in buying a Audi in the near future.....

I am currently looking at a 2002 A4 3.0......

What I was wondering first off is what peoples opinions are with the 1.8 t Vs. the 3.0 engine and also I was wondering if anyone has a list of options that are available in the audis.....(Example: Xenon lights, nav system, sunroof etc) because I have bought cars in the past and thought it had all the options available and found out there were many more things that could of been available and spent to much for these cars thinking it was a deal while I bought a basic car....so if you guys could help me out I would appreciate it....also if there is anything I should look out for with these cars...thanks alot in advanced!

i'm new to this forum too but i've had my audy for a few years now. mine is the older 98 2.8 V6 version. i would say go with the 3.0. the 1.8t's can sometimes be more problematic and have a little shorter engine life

If you wan't to do any modification that that will provide performance gains, then the 3.0/2.8 is not the engine for you. If you wan't to mod, 1.8T is your engine. There are no worthwile performance mods to the sixers except the costly SC

i'm agreeing with 01A4T again on this one... unless you have a lot of money theres not much you can do with the V6... supercharge maybe but i dont know what that would cost

if u got the $, i would love 3.0 supercharged but a 1.8t with a BT should provide about the same HP and probably get better mileage if thats a concern

even a ATP/GTRS BT kit will cost almost $5k by the time u buy a nice FMIC and tubular mani or the APR 3+ is $5k
